Calor Cylinder News Update
Calor will be making some changes to their cylinder range, exchange groups and Cylinder Refill Agreement (CRA) from the 1st February 2023. The information below is from Calor directly.
Changes to Our Cylinder Range
From the 1st February 2023, the following cylinders will be discontinued from the Calor range: Cube, 3.9kg Propane, 4.5kg Butane, 6kg Calor-lite propane and 12kg Butane.
Why have we done this?
Improving the calor cylinder service is a priority. Our existing range of cylinders is creating complexity within the Calor supply chain. This means longer change over times and reduced filling capacity on high volume key sizes. That's why Calor has taken the very difficult decision to reduce the Calor cylinder range, which will simplify the business.
Calor realise this change will affect customers that rely on these sizes, but they know these changes are very necessary to significally improve Calor's cylinder service.
Suitable alternatives
There are suitable alternatives to these cylinder sizes within the Calor range, or within the Campingaz range. For example, customers looking for a 3.9kg Propane can be offered a 6kg Propane, and those looking for a 4.5kg Butane offered a 7kg Butane.
If any customer who has either the 3.9kg or 4.5kg cylinders, they will be able to exchange them for the next size up with no aditional cylinder charge, if you change from a 4.5kg butane cylinder for the 7kg butane cylinder you will be required to exchange your regulator as well, but if the larger cylinders will not suit or fit the caravan or motorhome due to lack of space then you will need to change these cylinders for a 907lb campingaz, and you will also need to change the regulator.

Cylinder Refill Agreemant (CRA) Charges
The price of calor's CRA's will increase from 1st February 2023 to cover the increased cost of metal. If you would like to contact Homestead caravans they will be able to give you the very up to date CRA charges.
