BACKGROUND:

This Policy applies as between you, the User of this Website and Homestead Caravan Centre Limited the owner and provider of this Website. This Policy applies to Our use of any and all Data collected by Us in relation to your use of the Website.

Definitions and Interpretation

In this Agreement the following terms shall have the following meanings:

"Carrier"means any third party responsible for transporting purchased Goods from Our Premises to customers;
"Goods"means any products that Homestead Caravan Centre Limited advertises and  / or makes available for sale through this Website;
"Payment Information"means any details required for the purchase of Goods from this Website.  This includes, but is not limited to, credit / debit card numbers, bank account numbers and sort codes;
"Users"means any third party that accesses the Website and is not employed by Homestead Caravan Centre Limited and acting in the course of their employment;
"Website"means the website that you are currently using (www.homesteadcaravans.co.uk) and any sub-domains of this site, unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions; and
"Company/We/Us/Our"means Homestead Caravan Centre Limited, trading as Homestead Caravans & Outdoor Leisure, a company registered in England under 01868019 of 3 North Hill, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1DZ.

Ordering & DeliveryCarrier Services

UK Mail have one of the fastest and most reliable road-based networks in Europe and is Our preferred Carrier of choice. UK Mail provide a reliable, efficient and polite service to Our customers and their SMS delivery notification service provides, a one hour delivery window in advance, so you don't have to wait in all day for your Goods.

We are working towards bringing a number of alternative delivery services online in the near future, designed to make Our business more competitive and increase the accessibility of Our products to National and International Users of Our Website.

How & when to order

Our delivery service runs from Monday to Friday excluding public bank holidays and Christmas holidays. We do not despatch orders during the weekend nor do We presently deliver during the weekend, although Saturday deliveries can be arranged by special request.

Orders placed by 2.30pm during weekdays will be processed and dispatched the very same day. Orders placed after 2:30pm on Friday and during the weekend will not be despatched until Monday (excluding bank holidays).

Orders can be placed using Our online shop or by telephone on: 01255-830-229. Please do not send orders via e-mail as this is not a secure method and We can not guarantee your email wont be intercepted.

Pricing

All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and are inclusive of UK VAT (currently 20%) unless clearly stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Whether you buy online or in-store Our competitive prices are the same.

Payment Information

All credit and debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Maestro payment cards as well as Paypal. Unfortunately We are unable to accept American Express. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to Us, We will not be liable for any delay and/or non-delivery of your Goods due to incorrect Payment Information. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered card holder.

Payments from outside the UK

Unfortunately, We are unable to accept funds from payment cards registered to addresses outside the UK including, the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. This is because UK card payment service providers, such as Sagepay are unable to use AVS or Address Verification System to, verify that the card being used to pay for goods is registered to the billing address provided. However, in these instances We can accept payment using Paypal or via direct bank transfer.

Zero-rated VAT payments

Goods bound directly for the Channel Islands including Jersey and Guernsey will be exempt from UK VAT (zero-rated).

Goods bound directly for the Republic of Ireland are exempt from VAT (zero-rated), provided the person purchasing Goods has a valid Irish VAT number. If you do not have a valid Irish VAT number or are registered for VAT in the UK and are arranging for Goods to be shipped to Ireland, UK VAT will be added to the prices of your Goods at the current rate of 20%.

Delivery Services, charges & destinations

All freight carriers see the world a little bit differently to the rest of Us when deciding how much to charge for a delivery. It may be a little frustrating to find out that not all delivery charges to the United Kingdom are the same and that large areas of what is popularly known as mainland UK are, not regarded in the same way by shipping carriers. Delivery companies have to consider a large number of factors when calculating shipping charges.

Delivery charges & services at a glance:

The first column in the table below includes Zone classifications for reference, while the second column displays the areas covered by each zone. To keep delivery charges down to a minimum, We offer a range of incremental discounts on delivery charges, according to the (VAT inclusive) total 'Order Value'. The 3rd column titled 'Charges', is the total price you pay for delivery regardless of how many items you order and is inclusive of VAT. 'Service' type identifies the length of time you can expect, under normal conditions, for your Goods to arrive.

Some of the products on Our Website include FREE DELIVERY by way of a promotional offer. Free Delivery offers override Our normal 'Order Value' rules shown in the table above. In the case of free delivery offers the following will apply:

  • Products listings in Our online shop that include Free Delivery will be clearly identified, by a 'Free Delivery' sash draped over product images.
  • Free Delivery Offers override Our normal 'Order Value' rules shown in the table above.
  • Free Delivery promotions are applicable to 'UK' Zone destinations only, and exclude deliveries to Offshore and R.O.I zones including, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands (refer to postcodes above), Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles and Northern Island.

Delivery & Lead Times

Delivery lead times stated on Our Website and in communications sent to you by Us, are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Carrier delivering your order. Furthermore, delivery lead times can be subject to naturally occurring phenomenon and unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather and vehicle failure, extending the time it takes to deliver your Goods. Therefore, We cannot guarantee, promise or make assurances in respect to the accuracy of delivery lead times, nor do We accept liability whatsoever, for any inconvenience or financial losses incurred by you due to late deliveries, including the cancellation of pre-booked travel arrangements and/or accommodation.

If your order is urgent and you require a timed service or a weekend delivery We may be able to assist you by special request. In this instance please call 01255 830-229 to check availability of services in your area.

Please bear in mind all carriage deliveries will require a signature upon delivery. If you are out when Our Carrier calls they will leave a card and you can phone to arrange a convenient time for redelivery.

Accounts & Order Tracking

Create an Account to track the status of your order via Our Website. Account creation is easy and quick to do, either sign-up in advance of placing an order or create an Account password when prompted during Check Out.

When your delivery arrives

Before signing a Carrier delivery note, please ensure the number of parcels you have received match the number of parcels stated on the drivers delivery note. If the number of parcels you have received is less than stated on the delivery note, please ask the driver what has happened to the other parcel/s and only sign for the parcels you have received, for example; 'One Parcel Received'. If your Goods arrive with obvious signs of damage to the parcel/s, please sign the delivery note as, 'Parcel/s Damaged on Delivery'.

If you're not home to receive your order

The UK Mail SMS text notification service provides, a one hour delivery window in advance, so you don't have to wait in all day for your Goods. However, if for any reason you are not at home when Our Carrier attempts to deliver your Goods, a calling card will be posted through your post box, to let you know that an attempt has been made to deliver your parcel/s.

The calling card will provide certain details including contact methods for the Carrier. If you would like to amend your delivery for any of the following reasons we advise you contact the Carrier straight away:

  • arrange for Goods to be delivered on a specific day;
  • change the delivery address (same postcode only);
  • instruct the Carrier to leave Goods in a safe place; and
  • leave Goods with a neighbour.

If you do not respond to the calling card then the parcel will automatically go back out for the delivery the following day. Should the delivery fail for a second time another calling card will be left and the parcel will be held back at the depot for 3 days. If you do not response after that time the parcel is then returned back to Our Premises.

In the event We have not been able to deliver your Goods to you because you were out and your parcel/s are returned to Us, your order will be cancelled and your account will be refunded for the costs of the Goods ordered and any original delivery charges.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, We reserve the right to reclaim any amount up to the 'full cost' of returning your undelivered parcel/s back to our premises. The 'full cost' of returning Goods to Our premises is currently £9.50 including VAT.

Availability

We neither represent nor warrant that Goods will be available.  Stock indications are provided on the Website. However, such indications may not take into account sales that have taken place during your visit to the Website. In the event We are unable to fulfil any of your order within the stated time, you will be offered a suitable replacement (if available), keep outstanding Goods on backorder or be refunded through the payment method used by you when purchasing the Goods.

Force Majeure

We will not be liable for non-performers of Our obligations caused or resulting from industrial disputes or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company including but not limited to Acts of God, riots, civil commotion, fire and legislation. If, by reason of such circumstances, it shall become impossible within a reasonable time for the Company to wholly or partly supply the items ordered then the customer's liability will be limited to the value of the items already supplied together with any associated delivery charges.

Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
